Common questions

How accurate are the translations? +

MenuLingo uses large language models trained on culinary vocabulary, not generic machine translation. Dish names, preparation methods, and regional terms are translated with context — not word-for-word. You can review and edit any translation before publishing.

Which allergens does MenuLingo detect? +

We auto-detect all 14 major allergens required under EU food labelling law (gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soya, milk/dairy, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphites, lupin, molluscs). You can manually add or remove tags per dish, and the system always reminds you that you are responsible for final accuracy.

Do I need to re-upload every time I change the menu? +

No. Once your menu is in MenuLingo, you edit dishes directly in the dashboard. Change a name, price, or ingredient — MenuLingo re-translates only what changed, and your QR code stays exactly the same. Seasonal updates take a couple of minutes.

How much does it cost? +
